Goedhuis, February 2024
Pouilly-Fumé is famed for its crisp and distinctly smoky Sauvignons and Henri Bourgeois is committed to producing some of the finest the region has to offer. Lively, yet elegant, this is an irresistibly charming wine, which begins with a burst of freshness and zesty fruit before the appellation’s hallmark minerality takes over on its mouth-watering finish.

Region
Pouilly Fumé
Perched on the opposite bank of the Loire to Sancerre, the limestone and clay slopes peppered with flint of Pouilly Fume have been home to grape growing and wine production since before the Roman era. Made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc, these often excellent wines are characterised by a note of gunflint and a certain creamy richness in addition to the classic zesty herbacious flavours of the grape variety.
