An extraordinary private collection of wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and beyond

Archive

We are delighted to offer this great and varied collection of wines. Painstakingly and diligently amassed over a life time of collecting, the cellar spans some fifty vintages and features cases and bottles from all the major wine producing regions: from venerable Vouvray to new world Pinot Noir, the breadth and depth of the collection is as fascinating as it is comprehensive.

Great vintages of Bordeaux, from 1970 to 2005, sit alongside a particularly strong Burgundy representation, both from the Cote de Beaune and Cote de Nuits. The Rhone, including some incredibly rare bottles of Gentaz Dervieux, is a trove of gems; whilst the three B’s (Barolo, Barbaresco and Brunello) bolster an impressive Italian selection. Mature bottles of Penfold’s Grange & Henschke Hill of Grace sit at the head of the new world, with a smattering of Kistler and Mondavi completing the cellar. This offer is a rare opportunity that will undoubtedly repay patient investigation.

Recently packed up and moved to Octavian from the owner’s cellar, all the wines are offered duty paid and in non-original packaging. Bearing in mind the age of some of the bottles, various labels are showing understandable wear and tear; photographs are available.
